Forever

I have gotten in sooo much trouble because i have skipped chores for this book and the first. It is so wierd because it didn't look like something i could get into. Seriously though I thought it would be something like Twilight but it has a lot more depth. I don't have anything against Twilight but I wanted something different, and this book worked a lot. I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better.....

This second installment was better than the first, but still lacking a bit and felt rushed in some areas. The story takes some good twists and turns, with a few surprises. The author definitely left it open for a third (hence the "trilogy" name) so I am looking forward to that.
A couple things about the writing and story bugged me, such as the fact that Alina went from this mousy person to a superhero overnight after receiving this 'virus' - her personality was completely different. Some more character development would have been good too, I could not get a very good visual on what these people looked like. Heck, I can't even remember what Alina looks like, without going back to the first book. Also, the author needs to find another term for "keep you safe", I must have read some form of that phrase 100 times and it started to get irritating. "Keep you safe", "Keep them safe", "Keep him safe"....we get it, but find another synonym!
All that being said, I will still get the 3rd to see what happens. I just hope she doesn't wait another year before releasing it ;)
